This can be a scary topic to approach responsibly, especially with such a sensitive subject such as sexual education, however, have no fear! Maintaining responsible design is simpler than it seems. Some suggestions to involve the parents include;
1) Send a note home briefly summarizing the units and lessons their students will be learning.
2) Send home a parent copy and a student copy that will receive a signature and be returned to class.
3) Give the parents your contact information so if they have questions or concerns they are aware of where to express them.
4) Relax! Parents will be appreciative for all of the extra information on what their student will be learning in class.
